Letter From the Director
Dear Runners,

Are
you ready for the Midwest's favorite marathon?
THE Quad Cities Marathon, a USATF
certified course is held annually on the fourth Sunday in September. The 26.2 mile run starts and ends in downtown
Moline, IL. The event benefits two worthy causes: prostate
cancer research/screening and the Erika Kate Foundation, helping families of children with life threatening heart conditions.
The flat and fast course features one of the finest, most scenic
river views in the country. It covers 5 races, 4 cities, 3 bridges, 2 states, and 1 island,
all along the mighty Mississippi River.
Race weekend offers something for
everyone. Along with the marathon, we
offer a half marathon, marathon relay, 5K, 1mile walk and even a micromarathon
for the kids. Whether you're
looking to qualify for Boston, or walk a mile with your friends - this fun and
well organized event is perfect for elite athletes and casual runners alike.
We are an all volunteer race
organized by friendly Midwest people who love to run. We extend our warmest
thanks to our dedicated volunteers and participating charities who are critical
to making this world-class event come together each year. As always, we thank our valued sponsors and
expo vendors: first and foremost THE
National Bank. As you look through our site, please take note of our sponsors
and support them throughout the year.
There would be no race without them.
Find out for yourself why runners from all over the
world return to the Quad Cities year after year. Sign up today for the Quad Cities
Marathon and Festival of Races to reserve your spot on the start line of what
we believe to be the best race in the United States. We hope to see you there September 22-23 for
the 15th annual Quad Cities Marathon.
Joe Moreno
