Starting Times
All Sunday races begin promptly at 7:30 AMTime Limit
MARATHON time limit is 6.5 hours (2 PM) or a 16 minute/mile pace. Due to the security and volunteers involved on Rock Island Arsenal Military Installation, we must adhere to this time line. Once off the island (approximately mile 20) you are free to slow your pace down even more.HALF MARATHON: Although there is no official time limit set for this event, we ask that all half marathon participants make every effort to complete the race within four hours. Walkers are welcome in this event.
What is the weather going to be like?
On race day over the past five years, average temperature at 7:30 am is 52 deg F and noon is 75 deg. FWhere do I get my race packet and chip?

There is no race day registration (except kids' races) or race day packet pick up.Can my friend pick up my packet for me?
Yes. They will need to bring a picture ID and will have to sign a form saying they picked it up for you.Can we drive across the bridge, even during the race?
The bridges are open to car traffic. Only one lane is used for the runners.Where do I Park?
There is ample free parking at the i wireless Center right at the start/finish line.Is there a course tour?
Free bus tours of the marathon course will be conducted on Saturday, September 24. Buses depart from the expo located at the i wireless Center.Where are the hills on the course?
There is one hill at the beginning of the course.Where do the half and full marathon split and is it well marked?
The Marathon and Half Marathon split at approximately 8.5 miles. It will be well marked and volunteers will be there to point you in the right direction.Where is gear check?
Gear check is in Centre Station -look for the brick building with the clock tower. Gear check will be open from 6:00 am - 1:00 pm. After 1:00, the remaining items will be moved to the INFORMATION TENT next to the finish line.Where do I find the buses for relay runners?
The buses are at Centre Station. Centre Station is located across from the iWireless Center i.e. Start / Finish. The MetroLINK Buses will be identified by exchange locations. Your bib number is your bus ticket. Once you have completed your leg, a bus will take you back to the finish area.How often are there replenishment stops?
Approximately 15 water, approximately six Gatorade, as well as four Gu Energy Gel stations are located throughout the course.What if I need medical assistance?
First aid stations with medical volunteers in red shirts will be located throughout the course and at the finish line.What if I can't complete my race?
There is no shame in dropping out of the race. If you want or need to drop out, please report to a Communication Volunteer on the course so they can contact a sweep van. Once you have dropped out, you may not re-enter the course or cross the finish line.When is the award ceremony?
The awards ceremony will take place at the Miller Lite Post Race Area at 9:30 for the 5K and half marathon and 12:30 for the Marathon and Relay.Where can I pick up my trophy after the race?
