The 10K Course
The 10K is a unique, point-to-point race held as part of the festival of races during Quad Cities Marathon weekend. Starting on Arsenal Island, your route joins the marathon through the historic Island, and finishes in downtown Moline.
7:15 a.m. Start
Start at the same time as the 5K race! Buses will be available all morning to get you to the start line!
Rolling Start
Not a morning person? Miss your bus? That’s fine. You’re welcome to start the 10K at any time you choose before 9:15 a.m., and your time will be recorded from when you start to when you finish!
Extra Challenge
Looking for a little extra challenge? Add the 10K on to the 5K, half marathon, marathon relay, or even the full marathon. You MUST start your 10K by 9:15 a.m. Note that if you choose this option, you will pick up your second bib at the starting line before you start the race.
10K FAQs
Where does the race start? The race starts parallel to the 20-mile marker of the marathon, behind the RIA commissary, next to Davenport Drive, down on the west end of the island. Merge into the marathon route about .10 mile from the start line.
When does the race start? Start the race at the official start time of 7:15 a.m., or any time you want to before 9:15 a.m. Please note that QCM officials may pause starting to let large groups of runners through.
How do I get to the start line? Take the bus from Central Station in Moline. MetroLink buses drop you off near the start. The 10K start line is the last stop the buses make.
What do I need to get onto Arsenal Island? Please have your ID on your person and have your race bib on and visible.
When do I have to start the race? No later than 9:15 a.m.
Can I drive onto the Arsenal and park? No. There is no parking at the race start.
I am doing another race first and then the 10K. Where do I get my 10K bib? Your 10K bib will be at the start line. We ask that you only wear one bib at a time to ensure your timing is correct.
